Bio

Chloe et Les Vaillantes is an eclectic French-Swiss folk band that formed in the summer of 2021 in Bern.

With a unique instrumentation, composed of guitar, violin, Hackbrett, double bass and poignant vocal harmonies, they create original arrangements of pieces by French British singer - songwriter Chloe Levaillant.

Since their debut in 2021, the four musicians have toured Switzerland and France: in festivals and concert halls as well as in the streets and markets and on the radio. Their music has been compared to the likes of Agnes Obel, The Be Good Tanyas and Aurora.

In March 2023, the band celebrated the release of their first collaborative album at the Mahogany Hall in Bern. The album is a selection of songs from Chloe's first three albums as well as new tracks arranged together.

Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, Chloe has been composing passionately for nine years. Having studied various vocal traditions, including opera, she creates and collaborates in circus, tightrope walking, opera, and documentary projects.singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, Chloe has been composing passionately for nine years. Andrina Däppen

violon, backing vocals

The violin is both Andrina's passion and favorite means of expression. With a strong background in classical music, she puts her talent to work in new musical horizons. She is a member of the duo Desdëa, Duo Aluna, Ensemble Das seltene Orchester and the collective Kandáleko.

Loreen Ilou Haesler (double bass, backing vocals) 

Fascinated by the traditional music of the Balkans and Turkey, Ilou taught herself the electric bass and then the double bass. She is a member of the band Balaclava (rhythm'n'soul), and Krusimusig (Balkan music).
